Born in Dallas on February 18, 1960, to Henry and Lola Mclemore, Doris lived her entire life in the heart of Texas, providing love and care to her family and community alike. Her heart was as big as the Texas sky, and her spirit was as warm as a summer's day in Dallas. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Doris was the embodiment of this quote, and her generous spirit is what touched the lives of many and what will be most remembered.
Doris spent 45 dedicated years as a child care worker, providing nurturing care and guidance to countless children in her community.
