Listen to Obituary

With a heavy heart, we announce the peaceful departure of Lydia Frazier West on June 15, 2026. Born on May 18, 1953, in Stutgardt, Germany, she brought light and life to the world with her compassionate and humble spirit. Her journey led her to Rockwall, Texas, where she resided for the last three years of her beautiful life. Though she is no longer with us physically, her loving spirit will continue to inspire all those who were blessed to know her.

Lydia was a dedicated worker, having spent many years serving in the school district of Mesquite ISD in Mesquite, Texas. Her humble service in the cafeteria was a testament to her loving heart. She retired in 2014, after touching countless lives with her kindness and dedication. As Helen Keller said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched — they must be felt with the heart." Lydia embodied this truth in her everyday life, leaving an indelible mark on those she served.

In her leisure, Lydia enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and caring for animals. She was a beacon of love and warmth to her beloved grandchildren, whom she adored dearly. Lydia will always be remembered as a loving mother, a doting grandmother, and a dear friend. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit.

Lydia is survived by her dedicated son, Dave West, and daughter-in-law, Sabrina West. She was preceded in death by her caring father, Billy Frazier, her nurturing mother, Ella Frazier, and her husband, David N. West.

In keeping with Lydia's wishes, she will be cremated with no funeral or memorial service planned at this time. Her family appreciates your thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time. We invite you to remember

In these moments of loss and sadness, let's take the time to remember Lydia for the resilience, wit, dedication, and generosity that she showed throughout her life. We invite you to share your memories of Lydia, and upload photos of her to her memorial page, celebrating her life and the joy she brought to ours.
