McQuester Taylor, 80, was born on January 24, 1946, in Buffalo, Texas, to the parents James  Taylor and Vernice Collins Denkins. He spent his final years in Mesquite, Texas, where he passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026.

His life was one marked by love, laughter, and profound compassion. McQuester carried an incredible spirit—charismatic, dependable, and deeply rooted in family. Though he is no longer with us physically, the warmth of his personality will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.  McQuester received his education from G.B. Bennet High School. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Savior and united with Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, where his faith continued to guide him throughout his life. 

On May 10, 1982, McQuester was united in holy matrimony with Elizabeth Ann McGary. Their union was blessed with two children, and together they built a life grounded in devotion, resilience, and unwavering love. A man of dedication, McQuester was employed by Vestex and served in the United States Navy. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing dominoes, watching sports, and trying his luck with scratch cards. His legacy is reflected not only in his deeds but in the countless lives he enhanced and the hearts he warmed.

McQuester departed this life on July 27, 2026. He is preceded in death by his father, James Taylor, mother, Collins Denkins; sister, Annie Coleman; and brother, Larry Ranson.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Elizabeth Ann McGary Taylor; his four children, Kimberly Garland (Gene), Calvin Kirk, Ra’Shun Taylor (Tara), and Ryan Taylor (Amanda); ten grandchildren; eight great‐grandchildren; his four siblings, Maxine Terrell, Charles Taylor,

Lynwood Barnes (Patricia), Debra Scott (Garland), and a host of extended family and friends who will continue to honor his legacy. McQuester’s spirit lives on through the love he shared and the lives he touched.
