Nateal was one of those extraordinary people whose lives are measured not simply by the years they lived, but by the love they gave, the faith they carried, and the lives they forever changed.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6

There are some people whose lives are measured not simply by the years they lived, but by the love they gave, the faith they carried, and the lives they forever changed.

Nateal Campbell was one of those extraordinary people.

Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice in knowing that she has exchanged the burdens of this world for everlasting peace in the presence of the Lord. Her earthly journey has ended, but her eternal life has just begun.

Born on October 11, 1954, to Nathaniel and Beulah Trimble, Nateal was one of twelve children. From an early age, she learned the importance of faith, family, and love. She carried these values with her throughout her life and shared them with everyone she met. These principles shaped the woman she became and the legacy she leaves behind.

Above all else, Nateal loved the Lord. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life and the source of her strength.

Above all else, Nateal loved the Lord. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life and the source of her strength. She walked by faith through every joy and every trial, trusting God completely. Her life reflected His love through kindness, compassion, generosity, forgiveness, and a servant's heart. She encouraged others, prayed faithfully for her family, and proved what it meant to live a life devoted to God.

She graduated from Reuben McCall High School in Tallulah, Louisiana. She then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she formed lifelong friendships and continued to develop the strength of character, compassion, and resilience that would define her life. She attended UNLV, where she met her husband, Charles Richard Campbell. She and her husband moved to Denver, where they would raise their eight children.

Nateal worked in the social work field for many years. She participated in the Wellington Webb mayoral campaign right here in Denver, and she was proud to be part of the Governor's Board that made change in Colorado. Nateal was a co-founder of the CRC Foundation. She also loved to travel, and she loved to help others.

Family was Nateal's greatest earthly treasure. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, joyful great-grandmother, caring sister, cherished aunt, beloved cousin, and loyal friend.

Her life reflected His love through kindness, compassion, generosity, forgiveness, and a servant's heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents Nathaniel and Beulah Trimble and her beloved husband, Charles Richard “Chuck” Campbell, and ten of her siblings: Johnny ‘R’, Mason, Shirley, Sonny, Katie, Roberta, Morris, Maurice, Connie Mac, and Connie Mae.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Beaulah “Lilly” Trimble; her eight beloved children: Kimba, Keyonne, Jamar, Raj, Ciarre, Calais (Rocio), Severin, and Jared; and her eleven grandchildren: Jalen (Kenneth), Jamal (Kenneth), Majdi (Dominque), Aliyana (Dominique), Severin (Dominique), Alan, Yolani (Carina), Dakari, Zakai, and Shakur, with one precious grandchild on the way (Brianna). She also leaves two bonus granddaughters, Lennox and Londyn (Brianna), and three great‑grandchildren: Jalen Jr., Alloura, and Jamal Jr. She is further survived by her stepchildren: Kimberly, Chuck (Colette), Leila, and Kweli, along with three step‑grandchildren: Dorian, Loren, and Chae.

She leaves behind her loving family, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends—along with countless friends of her children who affectionately called her “Mom.” Once you met Nateal, you were family.

Her home was a place of comfort. Her table always had room for one more. Her prayers covered generations. Her hugs brought peace. Her wisdom offered direction. Her laughter filled every room, and her love made everyone feel like family.

Her home was a place of comfort. Her table always had room for one more.

While we mourn her absence, we do not mourn without hope because we know she has been reunited with her beloved husband and has heard the words every faithful believer longs to hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord.” Matthew 25:23

Today we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a faith faithfully kept, a legacy that will continue through every child, grandchild, great-grandchild, and every life she touched. She was the epitome of “A Mother’s Love.”

Her voice may be silent, but her lessons will forever guide us. Her hands may rest, but her work lives on. Her earthly journey has ended, but her heavenly reward has begun.

Rest well, Mom.

Your love remains our greatest blessing.
Your faith remains our greatest example.
Your legacy will live in us forever.
