Please upload any photographs that capture her radiant smile and indomitable spirit, a reminder to us all of the love and warmth she spread throughout her life.

Susan Ann Anderson was born on November 24, 1945, in Daingerfield, Texas, to Jack and Aileen Peel. She attended and graduated from J.J. Rhodes High School where she participated in the band. As her daughter, Priscilla, I can proudly say that Susan was the cornerstone of our family. Her humble nature shone through her interactions with everyone she met, and her supportive attitude made her a beacon of hope and love. Her enthusiasm for sharing wisdom with her kids and grandkids was a testament to her dedication and love. She enjoyed speaking and sharing her political views.

Unwavering in her faith, Susan was a devout Baptist. She lived by the verse, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves," (Philippians 2:3) a testament to her selfless nature.

Susan leaves behind three daughters: Priscilla Murphy; LaDonna Lopez (Richard); and Tayna Stanton (Cornelius II). She adored her grandchildren: Ashley Ward (Chester), Le’Kendria Ellul (Roger), Clifton Polk Jr.(Cindy), Jasmine Polk, Azja Stanton, Diamond Marshall (Maurice), Destiny Stanton, and Cornelius Stanton III. Great grandchildren McKenzie Miller, Cody Miller, Makayla Polk, Roger Ellul Jr., and Ivy Rae Ellul and a host of supportive cousins, nieces and nephews, to whom she was a beloved figure. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ailene Peel, husband Donald Anderson, Roosevelt Haynes., brothers George Allen Peel, Melvin Peel, Samuel & Otis Peel Sr.,and a sister Wilma Jean Peel. Nephews Reginald , Corey, & Otis Peel Jr. and a niece Deborah Berry.

She also leaves behind her better half a sister Betty Lou Peel and brother Harry Peel. She also held a special place in her heart for her Uncle Ernest Jones. Her step-sisters Rosie McCoy & Margaret Evans, brothers, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins , and best friend Ruby Menyweathers whom she loved dearly.
