OBITUARY

We announce with heartfelt sorrow the passing of Ms. Vandettia Lynn Campbell, who left us on December 4, 2025. Born on January 10, 1960, to Annie Jones and James Campbell in Longview, Texas, she had a life journey filled with love, laughter, and profound compassion.

Vandettia graduated from L.G. Pinkston High School in Dallas, Texas, in 1978. She accepted Christ at an early age. Campbell dedicated her life to the noble vocation of Nurse Assistant, providing comfort, care, and companionship to the residents of the Traymore nursing home, where she worked for many years, before falling ill. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Vandettia survived by her cherished sisters, Ella Whitlow, Angelia Jones(Anthony), Rosalind Jones, and her brother, Rodney Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, James D. Campbell and Annie Nell Jones (Williams), Hayes Williams (stepfather), Mattie B. Jones (great grandmother), Bill Jones (great grandfather), Evelyn D. Moore (sister), Robert E. Jones, Jr (brother).
